Wash the Dusk with Silver

Tom Caufield

Exciting things are happening in the world of modern-classical, post-minimalist music. Led by early pioneers such as Philip Glass and carried on by composers Max Richter, Johann Johannsson and many others, repetitive, modular, avant garde, 20th Century, romantic, film score, and old world classical approaches as well as rock and ambient music influences are used to build fresh, expressive, intriguing and moving compositions. Acoustic piano and orchestral instruments alongside analog and digital electronica, found sounds, radical recording techniques and software manipulation create music that reflects the complexity of the 21st century.

On ‘Wash the Dusk with Silver,’ Tom Caufield approaches the music with classical guitar at the center of the work, offering a unique contribution to this growing genre.
